Another great author and open rights advocate is coming to Seattle, Neil Gaiman. Gaiman will be reading his the newly released Graveyard Book at University Bookstore this Friday. He is also posting all the readings online for free (as in free beer not freedom).

Here is a little more about ORG:
The Open Rights Group is a grassroots technology organisation which exists to protect civil liberties wherever they are threatened by the poor implementation and regulation of digital technology. We call these rights our “digital rights”. ORG has spoken out on copyright term extension, DRM and the introduction of electronic voting in the UK. We have informed the debate on data protection, freedom of information, data retention and the surveillance state.
PS: Remember to tell him you support his work with ORG
PPS: I might have been a little harsh on the release of American Gods with massive DRM. I support Neil’s work with org and like that he is moving towards more open publishing.
