Wednesday I had an interesting experience, the World Affairs Council had contacted me to speak with a prosecutor from Taiwan about concerning International IP Law and how IP interacts with Human Rights. The WAC has a policy of trying to balance perspectives when offering exchanges with foreign representatives.

We mostly discussed opt-out versus opt-in copyrights, copyright lengths, non-commercial use, trademarks (infringement appears to be a large problem in Taiwan), Creative Commons, The WIPO, Public Patent, and EFF. The discussion was great and I valued the exchange of ideas. I will post a little more on the exchange later.
